**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our team. The Activity Assistant will play a vital role in supporting and facilitating engaging activities and programs for our clients, residents, or participants. This position requires creativity, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for fostering an enjoyable and inclusive environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a diverse range of activities, including games, arts and crafts, music, and physical exercise.
- Support the Activity Coordinator in developing monthly activity schedules that cater to the interests and needs of participants.
- Set up and break down activity spaces, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Encourage participation and engagement from all individuals, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Provide one-on-one support or small group facilitation during activities, ensuring participants are engaged and enjoying their experience.
- Monitor and document participant progress and feedback, and report any concerns to the Activity Coordinator.
- Help manage supplies and equipment needed for activities, including inventory checks and replenishing items as necessary.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure activities align with the overall goals and mission of the organization.
- Follow all safety and health guidelines, ensuring the well-being of participants during activities.
- Attend training sessions and ongoing professional development as required.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in recreation, leisure studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a recreational or activity-focused role, particularly with children, seniors, or special needs populations, is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with participants, families, and team members.
- Creative mindset with a passion for designing and leading engaging activities.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling; availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
