Job Description

For over 100 years, Maguire has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. We’re on the lookout for a self-motivated, energetic, honest, self-managing individual with attention to quality and details to join our team as a full-time Campus Custodial and Grounds Specialist. This position will have high expectations and work results are highly visible.

Essential Functions:

  • Primary function of the role is to clean and maintain a 3-building campus in a tour ready condition at all times.
  • Will be expected to perform all aspects of detailed cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, kitchen, bathroom and common area cleaning per a defined schedule.
  • Re-stock, re-order and track all supplies necessary for completion of assigned tasks.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager as needed with day-to-day operations, projects, repairs around the campus.
  • Landscaping work, snow removal and salting, trash collection and dumping, maintaining walks and paths.

  • Must have passion for housekeeping and appearance for all areas of the campus.
  • Must have the ability to walk up and down stairs, lift 40 lbs. chest high, reach from floor to tops of doors, follow written and verbal instructions, dust small items without breakage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, is adaptable to changing requirements, follow company policies and procedures, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Timeliness.
  • Ability to work unsupervised safely.
  • Adaptable to changing conditions/situations.
  • Demonstrable desire for cleaning and other support tasks and assignments.
  • Must have a cell phone and reliable transportation.
  • Valid US driver's license.
  • Verifiable previous experience of custom service, hospitality, and/or housekeeping.
  • Technical competence to use computers and software utilized by the organization.
  • Ability to use small lawn machinery and cleaning equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Work Environment:

  • Majority of work environment is inside, in an office, professional setting; and outside working in the elements of the respective season.
  • Some sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Working with various types of hand tools and equipment.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
