Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Combo Pipe Welder located in Jenskinsville, SC with expertise in TIG and Stick welding to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience welding carbon steel pipe, primarily in 3”, 4”, 6”, and 10” diameters. This position requires a detail-oriented, safety-conscious individual who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Pay rate: $30.00/hr-$32.00/hr (depending on experience)

Hours: Mon-Thurs 7am-5:30pm, Friday 7am-3:30pm

Project duration: 3-4 months

Location: Jenkinsville, SC 29065

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality TIG and Stick welding on carbon steel pipe.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding specifications, and isometric drawings.
• Fit and weld pipe spools per project requirements.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure welds meet quality and code standards.
• Use grinders, cutting torches, and other tools to prepare and finish welds.
• Work safely and maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with pipefitters, foremen, and inspectors to ensure timely project completion.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in pipe welding (TIG & Stick).
• Proven ability to weld carbon steel pipe in 3”, 4”, 6”, and 10” diameters.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality welds.
• Familiarity with proper weld preparation and finishing techniques.
• Must have own tools and PPE.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in hot, cold, and noisy environments.
