Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC/Sheet Metal Worker to install, fabricate, assemble, and repair sheet metal products and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate should have experience working with ventilation systems, ductwork, and metal fabrication while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

HVAC Duties:

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
• Assemble and install ductwork, air distribution systems, and ventilation units.
• Inspect HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and proper operation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and make necessary repairs.
• Work with refrigerants, thermostats, and control systems.
• Follow blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA safety regulations.

Sheet Metal Duties:

• Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal for HVAC ductwork and other structures.
• Fabricate metal components using hand tools, power tools, and machines.
• Assemble and install sheet metal parts in commercial and residential buildings.
• Secure ducts and metal structures using welds, bolts, or rivets.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for accurate installation.
• Operate plasma cutters, shears, and press brakes for custom metal fabrication.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn sheet metal components.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HVAC technician and/or sheet metal worker.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in using HVAC tools, sheet metal fabrication equipment, and measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform manual labor.
• Valid HVAC or sheet metal certification/license (if required).
• OSHA safety certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in both HVAC installation and sheet metal fabrication.
• Welding and soldering experience.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC systems and modern ventilation technology.
