Job Description

The Director, Talent and Organizational Development is responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of learning and development to support organizational business objectives . This individual is responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive learning strategy to engage, develop, and retain the talent base required for continued growth at BOK Financial. This includes the formal needs assessment, design, deployment, and evaluation of learning programs including sales training, credit training, leadership and management development, employee development, career pathing, core competencies, and change management.  This individual is responsible for partnering with the CHRO, the HR Leadership Team, line of business/market leaders, senior leaders, and the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that learning aligns with business objectives .

  • You will develop a forward-looking vision for talent and organizational development aligned with BOKF’s strategic goals.
  • You will inspire stakeholders by promoting the value of a high-performing, inclusive, and agile workforce.
  • You will translate business strategy into a people strategy focused on capabilities, culture, and leadership.
  • You will champion innovative talent practices that support continuous learning and adaptability.
  • You will establish a roadmap to scale organizational capability, leadership depth, and employee development.
  • You will lead a team to manage and expand leadership and development programs across the organization.
  • You will measure and improve learning outcomes using data-driven insights and ROI strategies.
  • You will collaborate across the enterprise to embed learning tools, best practices, and a culture of development.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is acquired through completion of a Master’s Degree (or higher) and 15+ years of organizational development, human resources, talent identification, talent development and/or talent management experience. Executive coaching certification, master facilitator certification, and 10+ years of management experience preferred.

  • Expertise in organizational development, internal consulting approaches, models, tools and practices needed to conduct needs assessments, determine root cause, and develop organization and talent development solutions
  • Proven track record of successful organizational design, change management, team effectiveness, and organizational diagnostic interventions and initiatives
  • Experience in designing, developing, and facilitating innovative leadership development programs that align with business strategy and objectives
  • Knowledge of and experience with assessment and competency models/performance management
  • In-depth knowledge of talent identification and succession planning
  • In-depth knowledge of eLearning infrastructures, strategies, processes and procedures
  • Extensive budget management and vendor selection experience
  • Experience in measuring and evaluating learning impact; Ability to tell a story using data
  • In-depth knowledge of talent identification and talent development strategies
  • Strong analytical and project management skills: Pulls together information from a variety of sources in a user-friendly, business driven manner
  • Executive presence with persuasive business communication, presenting and writing skills
  • Certification as an executive coach and master facilitator preferred
  • Curriculum development experience required
  • Banking industry knowledge strongly preferred
