Successful international freight forwarder/Customs broker is looking to add an Entry Writer to their family! This dynamic role is more than just submitting entries - it's working hand-in-hand with operations to process shipments from the quoting stage to final delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
Prepare quotations for all services and fees.
Submit ISF and Customs entries for ocean LCL/FCL, air, and international trucking shipments.
Organize all documentation needed for clearance.
Classify shipments according to Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
Provide timely information for expedited clearance and avoidance of penalties.
Handle exams and holds from Customs and other agencies.
Verify release of shipments/holds and update all concerned.
Comply with all laws, regulations and procedures.
Arrange delivery to final destination and obtain proof of delivery.Prepare billing/invoicing and resolve discrepancies.
Participate in audits for accuracy and timeliness.
Main Requirements:Proficient with Customs software and standard programs.
Smooth collaborator with colleagues, clients, government agencies, truckers, and other business partners.
Resourceful problem-solver who enjoys a fast-paced environment.
