JOB TITLE: Squarespace Graphic Designer
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations / Creative Director
SCOPE OF POSITION: The Squarespace designer role is a part-time contractor position within the Accordus team. This team member fills critical functions for Accordus clients by maintaining, updating, and building Squarespace websites from scratch.
Responsibilities
Design and build responsive, visually appealing websites using Squarespace.
Customize templates and implement brand-specific styling (fonts, colors, layouts, etc.).
Collaborate with the team leads and communications teams to ensure cohesive design and messaging.
Create graphic assets such as banners, icons, infographics, and promotional imagery.
Optimize websites for mobile responsiveness, speed, and accessibility.
Perform routine updates and content refreshes on Squarespace sites.
Stay up-to-date with design trends and Squarespace updates to ensure best practices.
Provide creative input on UX/UI to improve user journeys and site conversions.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in web or graphic design, with a focus on Squarespace.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent tools like Canva or Figma.
Strong portfolio showcasing Squarespace websites and graphic design work.
Understanding of basic HTML/CSS required.
Strong eye for layout, typography, color theory, and design aesthetics.
Excellent communication and time-management skills.
Experience with SEO basics and digital marketing is a bonus.
