Job Description
Job Summary (List Format):
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in data centers, MDF/IDF/SIDF, or other critical environments.
- Skilled in installing low voltage, fiber optic, and outside plant structured cabling.
- Experience installing MDF/IDF/SIDF components, including cabinets, racks, UPS, PDUs, networking, and server/storage gear.
- In-depth knowledge of telecom and structured cabling industry standards (BICSI and/or Commscope).
- Mastery of cable management and fiber distribution standards.
- Proficient in installing and terminating low voltage cabling (modplug and modjack connectors).
- Proficient in installing and terminating fiber optic cabling (quick connect, anaerobic, and fusion splicing).
- Experience installing conduit, hangers, and similar low voltage cable routing methods.
- Proven capability managing teams of 10+ people and vendors.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent business communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).
- Education requirement: High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred (equivalent technical experience considered).
- Technical experience in infrastructure or data center operations is required.
