Intake Worker/ Call Center

Position Details:

• Full-Time Night shift - with rotating weekends 
• Career development opportunities across UHS and its 300+ locations!

• Potentialy remote shifts available, after training

Your goals and objectives include:

• Provide an efficient point of contact for queries from potential patients, families of potential patients, and professionals wanting to refer a potential patient to the inpatient program
• Handle all inbound calls for the hospital's primary intake line, and route calls internally when necessary
• Review hospital-to-hospital transfer requests and staff with on-call psychiatrist for admission
• Attend weekly Admissions Meeting to alert attending staff of upcoming discharges, potential admissions; Direct weekly Admissions Meeting when the Admissions Director is out of the office
• Distribute all requested information to potential patients, their families, or referring professionals in a timely manner.
• Direct potential patients to clinical directors or assigned clinical staff for assessment and approval before admission
• Schedule and coordinate admissions, assisting with travel arrangements and providing any pre-admission information as needed
• Scheudle patient for outpatient services.

Your Qualifications and Requirements will include:

• Valid Utah RN license or license authorized to practice in Utah.
• Preferred (1) year of experience working in a psych inpatient setting and detox preferred, but NOT REQUIRED
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check & drug screen
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, time management, and crisis intervention.
