About the Role:

As a member of Matterport's Vision & Learning team, you'll have the chance to work alongside industry experts in a collaborative and innovative environment. Our cutting-edge technology enables users to capture, create, and share immersive digital twins - 3D models of real-world environments. From real estate to construction, retail to hospitality, Matterport's solutions empower businesses and individuals to showcase spaces like never before. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to projects at the forefront of spatial data technology, gaining hands-on experience and invaluable insights into the development of cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning algorithms.

  • 3D Reconstruction

  • Semantic Understanding

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our team of researchers and engineers to develop and implement state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning algorithms.

  • Participate in the design, training, and evaluation of deep learning models for various applications, including 3D reconstruction, object detection, and semantic segmentation.

  • Contribute to the development and optimization of algorithms for processing and analyzing 3D spatial data.

  • Conduct experiments, analyze results, and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

     

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.

  • Solid understanding of computer vision principles, machine learning algorithms, and linear algebra.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
