Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Newbury Park, California. In this role, you will oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery for our workforce. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with HR and finance professionals while utilizing advanced systems and tools to streamline payroll operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-monthly payroll for a workforce of approximately 100 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle monthly commission payroll processing with attention to detail and compliance.
- Manage and update timekeeping records, making necessary adjustments and corrections as required.
- Configure and maintain the General Ledger (GL) interface to ensure smooth payroll integration with financial systems.
- Reconcile payroll transactions with financial records to ensure precision and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and post General Ledger entries related to payroll activities.
- Collaborate with HR and compliance professionals, as well as the Controller, to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions for payroll calculations, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Leverage payroll software systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Crystal Reports to enhance efficiency. Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration with a proven track record of accuracy and compliance.
- Proficiency in using payroll systems such as Paylocity
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with General Ledger entries.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to perform detailed calculations and create reports.
- Familiarity with 401k and RRSP administration processes.
- Experience managing timekeeping systems and making necessary adjustments.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with HR and finance teams.
