Private Chef – Part-Time Dinner Service | Potential for Full-Time | Center City, PA

Elite Private Chefs is seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and discreet Private Chef to serve an elite family in Center City, PA. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of the family's culinary needs in an exclusive, high-end setting. As the Private Chef, you will be expected to create exceptional, personalized meals that cater to the client's tastes, dietary preferences, and health needs. Discretion, professionalism, and a strong passion for fine dining are essential—along with a warm, family-friendly demeanor and comfort working around children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Start Date: September 1 (test cooks prior)

• Location: Tri-level townhouse in Center City, Philadelphia

• Household: 6 people, including children aged 8, 11, and 9 months

• Must be comfortable working in a family home with young children

• Meal Service Needed:

  • Dinner only , family-style

  • 4 days/week: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

  • Dinner served between 7:00–8:30 PM

  • Open to full-time for the right fit

• Dietary Notes:

  • No pork for the household

  • No shellfish for one adult; kids may eat shellfish

• Cuisine Preferences:

  • Italian, American soul food, Mediterranean, Asian

  • Enjoy fish, steak, chicken

• Kitchen Access & Cleanup:

  • Full kitchen access in tri-level residence

  • Chef will be given a key and client lives near local markets

  • Chef is expected to clean up after dinner service

• Compensation:

  • $70–$100/hour , based on experience and fit

  • Open to benefits or a stipend for full-time (35+ hours/week)

  • Benefits/stipend may start from day one

  • Grocery funds will be provided (e.g., weekly float or company card)

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a private chef or in high-end restaurant/luxury settings

• Strong foundation in diverse culinary techniques and global cuisines

• Friendly, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills

• Impeccable cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail

• Flexible and proactive, able to adapt to changing household schedules and needs

• Must demonstrate a high level of discretion and commitment to client privacy

• Ability to create a variety of dishes—from comforting daily fare to elegant, refined cuisine

• Maintain a spotless, well-organized kitchen and uphold top-tier food safety and hygiene standards

• Source fresh, seasonal, and premium ingredients; manage inventory and supplier relationships

• Accommodate dietary restrictions and wellness-focused meal planning (e.g., gluten-free, vegan, keto)

• Occasionally assist with private events, dinner parties, or special gatherings
