As a Product Support Operations Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping customers realize the full value of their investment in MineStar. When a customer purchases MineStar technology for their site, this role becomes essential in guiding them through the transformation required to successfully adopt and integrate the technology. This includes not only implementing new systems but also driving changes in processes, procedures, and-most importantly-the mindset of their people.
You will work closely with customers and dealers, conducting on-site assessments to understand the day-to-day realities of mine operations and reviewing data to uncover actionable insights. Your focus will be on improving performance by developing and executing strategic action plans tailored to each site's unique needs. The role demands complex analysis, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making, often requiring collaboration with Caterpillar teams to negotiate, build consensus, and achieve effective resolutions.
In addition to coaching all levels of the organization to embrace technology-driven change, you will help establish accountability systems and guide both customer and dealer teams in process improvements. You'll also define contractual scopes, identify business opportunities, and ensure the successful execution of change initiatives. A key part of your work will involve building and executing communication strategies, leading workshops, delivering presentations, and conducting training sessions to support user adoption and long-term success.
**What you will do:**
**Customer & Dealer Engagement**
+ Conduct site assessments and collaborate with technology customers to design and implement effective change enablement plans.
+ Consult with dealers to develop commercial, organizational, and operational strategies that enhance product support in parts and technology.
+ Guide customers and dealers through lessons learned from previous technology deployments to ensure successful outcomes.
+ Administer customer satisfaction assessments and use insights to drive continuous improvement.
**Change Management & Enablement**
+ Facilitate standardized workshops and coaching sessions to help all organizational levels embrace change.
+ Oversee the development of accountability systems and improved processes that maximize ROI in technology and people.
+ Formulate strategic change plans with customers, ensuring alignment with business goals and resource allocation.
**Collaboration & Advocacy**
+ Work closely with regional commercial teams to ensure early engagement and alignment on change initiatives.
+ Act as a dealer advocate in implementing Caterpillar policies and practices.
+ Collaborate with internal Caterpillar teams to define contractual scopes, identify future opportunities, and guide overall technology implementation.
**Operational Excellence**
+ Support dealers in evaluating and optimizing information systems, identifying both strengths and areas for improvement.
+ Identify and prioritize opportunities to enhance MineStar operations, efficiency, and profitability.
+ Lead the implementation of action plans to achieve measurable business performance improvements.
**Problem Solving & Strategic Analysis**
+ Analyze and resolve complex dealer and customer challenges with a strategic mindset.
+ Continuously enhance communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
+ Stay current with industry and technology trends to align Caterpillar solutions with evolving customer needs.
**What skills you will have:**
**Service Excellence:** Experience in **marketing, consulting, technology products or logistics** . Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
**Collaborating:** Must demonstrate the ability to work independently, influence senior leadership, and **lead change in the work group** , dealer personnel and customers.
**Consulting:** Demonstrate the ability to **set strategy, lead projects** independently, and work on larger scale with more complex assignments.
Provide direction and coaching to other consultants on project assignments.
**Effective Communications** : Skilled in **delivering presentations** using effective communication techniques to clearly convey ideas and engage audiences.
**Problem Solving:** Strong **analytical skills** are required to perform detailed analysis, data interpretation, and to develop business solutions independently. Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
**Relationship Management:** Skilled in building trust and maintaining strong relationships with customers and dealers.
**Customer Focus:** Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
**Decision Making and Critical Thinking** : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
**Top Candidates will also have:**
Experience in roles such as service engineer, application specialist, mine engineer or a CAT dealer technology representative.
A background in mining or quarry operations is highly desirable, as it provides valuable context for the challenges and workflows involved.
Candidates who have worked directly with mining technology-especially those with application experience-will stand out.
Familiarity with Minestar is a significant advantage and will set applicants apart from the rest.
**Additional Information:**
This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Tucson, AZ office.
Relocation assistance is available.
This position may require 50 - 75 % travel.

**Summary Pay Range:**
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
