Job Description

Salary: 66,000 - 132,000 USD per year Requirements:

  • I hold a BS or equivalent degree.
  • I possess expert knowledge on the Guidewire Suite of applications, specifically Policy-Center with Advanced Product Designer.
  • I have experience with Xmind, including product configuration using mind maps and product management in Guidewire APD.
  • I have a solid understanding of the functional areas of the insurance business to effectively gather customer requirements and provide Guidewire solutions.
  • I am knowledgeable about integrations with internal and external applications and can research dependencies to work on a system design plan with solution architects and developers.
  • I have hands-on experience with digital portals such as Customer Engage, Producer Engage, GPA, AMP, and Claims Portal.
  • I am familiar with agile methodologies and have extensive experience in writing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and wireframes.
  • I have a strong background in using defect ticketing software (e.g., Rally, JIRA) to document requirements, user stories, and defects for development teams.
  • I am skilled in working daily in cross-functional teams and am adept at negotiating consensus among departments that may have conflicting software requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • I will plan inception/requirements workshop schedules, prioritize requirements for sprints, demonstrate out-of-the-box (OOTB) products, identify gaps, and provide OOTB solutions.
  • I will conduct requirements workshops by working directly with business SMEs to capture necessary requirements.
  • I will create user stories, use cases, functional requirements, wireframes, system flow diagrams, and other documentation needed for Guidewire configurations and integration requirements.
  • I will review and analyze how changes to the business process or business needs will impact technical requirements throughout the Guidewire applications and other downstream integrations.
  • I will clarify requirements prior to the delivery of user stories to the development team and act as a liaison between functional leads, development teams, and support teams.
  • I will support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions during the UAT phase and assist with production releases, performing smoke testing as needed.
  • I will collaborate with the QA team to ensure test cases are current, accurate, and encompass alternative paths for both existing and new system functionality.
