Job Summary
Horizons HRS, Ltd. seeks an experienced, trustworthy, and detail-focused individual for our client's Shipping and Receiving Clerk position in Mason, Ohio.
Job Responsibilities
-A Shipping and Receiving Clerk in the Manufacturing industry is responsible for preparing goods to be sent or shipped out to customers. They must maintain accurate inventory, track all orders, and ensure all goods shipped out are accurate. The Clerk must be able to operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment. As a shipping clerk, you must be able to multitask. The Clerk must ensure that all items are packed, labeled, and recorded appropriately in preparation for transport. Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, and operating forklifts and other equipment for large goods.
Essential Functions:
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain the confidentiality of business/customer documentation.
-Examine contents and compare with records, manifests, invoices, or orders to verify the accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
-Prepare documents, work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route material.
-Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
-Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
-Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
-Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
-Complete all appropriate paperwork to comply with safety regulations.
-Label the package with all vital information.

Desired Skills and Experience:
-1+ years' experience in a Shipping/Receiving Clerk Role
-Be certified on all required equipment within 30 days of hire.
-Have manual dexterity and physical stamina.
-Good decision-making and foresight.
-Physical agility is preferred.
-High School Diploma or Equivalent.
-Basic computer skills.
-Ability to communicate verbally and written.
-Time management.

-This position requires someone with schedule flexibility on short notice.
-Pay: Starting at $18, depending on experience.
