Position Summary: We are seeking a creative, motivated Social Media Specialist/Graphic Designer to join our team. This individual should have a deep passion for social media and a strong ability to think outside the box to create innovative marketing strategies across various platforms. As a key player in expanding our social media presence, the ideal candidate will not only curate engaging content but also possess the design skills to bring it to life.
The Social Media Specialist/Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with the Marketing team to develop visually compelling content, craft impactful social media campaigns, and design strategies that resonate with our target audience. A blend of social media expertise and graphic design proficiency is essential to succeed in this role, as you will be responsible for both creating content and executing strategies that drive engagement and growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to create tailored strategies for each social media platform.
- Design and produce engaging visual content (static, video, and photography) for social media channels.
- Keep files organized and easily accessible for sharing among colleagues.
- Photograph products, edit images (color correction, cutting out, resizing), and optimize files for both print and web.
- Produce and edit videos (operational, promotional, and instructional content).
- Perform other duties as required to support marketing initiatives.
Education and Experience Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree (or near completion) in Graphic Design or a related field with a foundation in marketing strategy.
- Minimal experience required (6-12 months preferred).
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop (Intermediate or Advanced).
- Bonus knowledge: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Java, and Lightroom.
- Up-to-date knowledge of emerging social media trends.
- Experience in video production and/or photography is a plus.
- A strong online portfolio showcasing your design and social media work.
Required Skills and Competencies: - Solid understanding of design principles, including hierarchy, typography, and color theory.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Highly motivated self-starter with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to shifting priorities, and deliver projects on time.
- Creative and design-oriented, with the ability to think strategically.
- Comfortable working in a PC environment.
- Quick to learn new skills and produce high-quality work under deadlines.
- Demonstrates the Satellite values and contributes positively to the team culture.
- Strong soft skills in strategy, ethical conduct, diversity and inclusion, collaboration, and organizational capabilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have any direct Supervisory responsibilities.
Physical/Mental Demands: Position requires a high degree of concentration to manage frequent interruptions while meeting strict deadlines. This position requires the ability to perform duties using both typical office equipment such as computers, cell phones, and printers as well as the ability to communicate and perform tasks in an office environment. Must be able to perform physical and mental tasks associated within a manufacturing environment.
Compensation:
The pay range listed is the base pay range that Satellite Shelters, inc/Satellite Industries, Inc. reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
