Position Summary:

As a Solar Installer, your responsibilities are to assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Assemble all components of a residential solar system
  • Handle trenching and concrete workInstall mounts and rooftop install of the direction of the Lead 
  • Maintain a clean work site and safe working environment
  • Loading Truck, prepping panels
  • Properly use Personal Protective Equipment
  • Job site clean up
  • May perform required travel for extended periods at a time
  • Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety tailgate meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Requirements:

  • +2 years of experience as a solar installer
  • Must have some electrical knowledge /experience (in solar preferably) and be ready to apply for an Apprentice Electrician License (SunStar Solutions will pay for it)
  • Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet for long periods of time
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Regular, reliable and predictable attendance
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • Must have a valid state driver's license
  • Must have a clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
