Job Details:

• First shift, Monday - Saturday
• Mon- Fri: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm, Sat: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Discuss the client’s financial affairs and tax liabilities during a consultation
• Inform the client of the preparation process
• Gather financial records such as pay stubs, income statements, etc.
• Review past tax returns to detect missing or incomplete data
• Enter data into the tax return software/databases
• Determine deductions using federal, state, and local tax law
• Maximize the client’s return
• Calculate taxes owed or refunds due to the client
• File tax returns on behalf of the client
• Offer advice on future tax planning
• Discuss upcoming tax requirements and deadlines
• Act as a liaison between the client and the IRS
• Maintain and update knowledge of tax law changes

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Sales experience is a plus 
• Experience in bookkeeping and accounting
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills
• Understand and apply tax laws and make edits in the preparation process
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent math and accounting skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
