UCSF is seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Program Manager to support our Digital Accessibility Program. The Technical Program Manager will act as the project and process manager for all Digital Accessibility Program operations and initiatives, supporting the Digital Accessibility Program Manager and staff to ensure that our digital assets meet the highest standards and best practices for accessibility. This pivotal role involves managing a defined communication plan, intake, inventory, reporting, and risk management, as well as managing the processes and execution of remediation and mitigation for the UCSF Digital Accessibility Program.

Scope of Responsibility:

1. Project and Process Management:
  • Oversee and manage multiple projects and initiatives for the Digital Accessibility Program.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables ensuring they align with program and institutional goals.
  • Facilitate project kick-offs, status meetings, and project reviews.
2. Communication Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding digital accessibility projects.
  • Implement communication strategies to promote awareness and compliance with digital accessibility standards across UCSF.
  • Prepare and present regular updates and reports to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
3. Intake and Inventory Management:
  • Manage the intake process for digital accessibility requests and issues, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Maintain an inventory of all digital assets, tracking their accessibility status and prioritizing remediation efforts.
4. Reporting and Risk Management:
  • Develop and maintain reporting systems to track the progress of digital accessibility initiatives and compliance.
  • Manage risks related to digital accessibility, ensuring they are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
5. Remediation and Mitigation:
  • Coordinate remediation efforts for digital content, applications, and systems that do not meet accessibility standards.
  • Work closely with IT, web and application development, and content teams to ensure accessibility issues are mitigated effectively.
  • Provide guidance and support for the implementation of accessibility best practices.
6. Collaboration and Training:
  • Collaborate with the Digital Accessibility Program Manager and other team members to manage the development and delivery of training programs on digital accessibility, with an emphasis on roles and responsibilities of content owners
  • Organize the creation of resources and documentation to educate staff and faculty on accessibility standards and practices.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $96,500 - $172,900 (Annual Rate).
