Job Description:
POSITION GOALS
· Demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
· Provide both classroom and lab instruction to adult non-credit students utilizing an approved training curriculum that follows proficiencies as outlined through NATEF and are comprised of the technician certification areas offered through ASE for technicians currently employed in the field.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Plan, prepare, and deliver approved curriculum on a daily basis.
· Evaluate and assist in the resolution of student concerns.
· Prepare lesson plans.
· Track student grades and attendance.
· Submit student grades and attendance on a monthly basis.
· Lead, inspire, motivate, and advise students to actively participate in all aspects of their educational process.
· Maintain expertise in the subject area.
· Provide regular, accurate and timely feedback to students and the school concerning academics, behavior, attendance, etc.
· Plan and organize instructional materials/supply inventories/tools/equipment.
· Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
· Demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
· Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
· Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
· A minimum of three years related field experience.
· A minimum of two years teaching experience preferred.
· Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.
· Current ASE Certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires constant mobility throughout the school. Employee must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
