Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Teach five sections of Upper School Mathematics to include Statistics. 

• Plan and deliver creative and effective instruction that develops critical thinking skills.

• Utilize technology to facilitate instruction.

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues.

• Post and maintain curriculum, syllabi, and grades.

• Demonstrate familiarity with differentiated learning instruction.

• The position includes other duties as assigned by the Director of Upper School.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree with a major concentration in Mathematics and/or Education is required.

• The preferred candidate will have:

• Masters degree and/or Commonwealth of Virginia certification.

• Relevant classroom experience, including Upper School mathematics instruction.

• AP Statistics experience.

• Growth mindset and willingness to pursue ongoing professional development.

• Technological proficiency in the classroom, including Google Educational apps, interactive whiteboards, and electronic grade books.

• Experience with coaching and/or club sponsorship.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
