Position Summary A Southampton, NY client is seeking a skilled and good-natured Housekeeper to join their tenured household team. This full-time, year-round position involves hands-on daily cleaning and maintaining the home to the highest standards of care and detail. The principals are motivated to hire immediately or as soon as you are available. Responsibilities Conduct a daily walkthrough of the home, promptly reporting maintenance issues to the Estate Manager Work collaboratively with another tenured Housekeeper, adhering to a cleaning schedule Take responsibility for the general and specialty cleaning of the home, with attention to caring for fine materials and surfaces Handle laundering and ironing of clothing and linens with precision Answer the phone and door with professional courtesy Assist the Chef with table service and simple breakfast preparations Run occasional household errands Qualifications 5+ years of experience working as a Housekeeper in a fine home for a private employer or experience as a yacht Stewardess Excellent, verifiable references Outstanding hands-on cleaning skills with a strong eye for detail Ability to "read the room" and anticipate the needs of the principals Strong or fluent English communication skills Positive service mindset and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment Schedule: In season, Thursday Monday with (Tues/Wed off) Occasional evenings hours to assist with entertaining Off season, mostly weekdays if you prefer The schedule is lighter in the off-season with no change to your weekly paycheck. Compensation: Compensation of $45-$52/hour offered, depending on experience Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, FSA, and more.
