SDI Presence Offers: 

  • Pay Range: $120,000/yr - $140,000/yr.
  • Base pay may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonuses or commissions.

Summary  

The Senior System Administrator role is responsible for the technical execution of projects, day-to-day operations, and end-user support. This will include management and maintenance of servers, desktops, virtualization infrastructure, storage, backup solutions, networking, and end-user support.

 


Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, manage, maintain and upgrade Microsoft Windows servers, desktops, and laptops
  • Administer core services including, but not limited to, Group Policy, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, printing, rights management, identity management, Office365, etc.
  • Manage Veeam backup system(s) including backup jobs, restorations, periodic testing and validation
  • Provide end-user support with a variety of common enterprise applications as well as industry-specific applications, including hardware support, resolution documentation, and knowledge base development
  • Monitor and maintain software licensing and maintenance agreements
  • The preferred candidate will also manage virtualization platforms, network operating systems, storage infrastructure, wireless solutions, information security solutions, and more.
  • Palo Alto Networks and Cisco experience is preferred.

 

Requirements 

  • Ability to pass a thorough background check, previous experience in Public Safety is highly desired
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in information technology systems administration
  • Highly developed skills managing and maintaining server and desktop operating systems. The preferred candidate can manage virtualization platforms, network operating systems, storage infrastructure.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with technical support staff and non-technical users
  • Ability to work outside of standard business hours, when necessary, to perform system upgrades and respond to emergencies
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree
