About the Role:

We're seeking a Software Engineer with a strong application development background and deep experience in Workday Studio, Integration Studio, and Workday Extend . This role is ideal for someone who thrives in agile environments and is passionate about building net-new applications , not just maintaining existing ones.

You'll be embedded in a large Scrum team , working alongside engineers and analysts to deliver in 2-week sprints . Your work will focus on building integrations, consuming and transforming data, and creating new apps and workflows within the Workday ecosystem - not just configuration work, but real engineering within HR Technology.

This position also involves consulting on large-scale, strategic software initiatives that require in-depth analysis, strong cross-functional collaboration, and a solid understanding of engineering best practices, policies, and compliance standards.

Day to Day:

• Drive complex initiatives and contribute to large-scale software planning efforts.
• Analyze multi-faceted software engineering challenges and develop scalable solutions.
• Develop integrations and net-new applications using Workday Studio, Integration Studio, Extend, and Orchestrate .
• Partner with HR Tech and Engineering teams to build custom apps and workflows .
• Contribute to sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives as part of a high-functioning Agile Scrum team .
• Net-New Development (No Payroll work needed)

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience (including consulting, training, or education).
• 5+ years of HR Technology experience with platforms like PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or Workday .
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Studio and Integration Studio .
• 1+ year of experience with Workday Extend and Workday Orchestrate .
• Strong grasp of application development , data integration, and service-based architectures.
• Experience building solutions in a vendor-based environment without altering base code.

Preferred Background:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems , or a related field.
• Experience building cloud-native or enterprise-grade apps within an HRIS framework.
• Proven success working in agile, enterprise-scale environments .
